Auction House

Our highly successful senior moving company business model has grown to include not only an award winning consignment shop but an auction house as well. In fact, our Roanoke auction house is Virginia’s only licensed auction house without an auctioneer.

Large crowds enjoy the opportunity to bid on all of the household items that our senior clients no longer want when they are downsizing.

The variety of items auctioned off includes something for everybody: coins, cars, boats, jewelry, art, antiques and collectibles, dining, living room and bedroom sets, outdoor furniture, sports and exercise equipment, toys and tools, china and glassware, rugs, books and records, electronics, appliances and other items too numerous to mention

The entire community benefits from our “Browse & Bid” auctions. We serve as a major recycling agent to college students, young, growing families, seasoned homeowners looking to refurbish, retirees looking for smaller pieces, as well as dealers and collectors. We truly have something for everyone on any budget.

Our monthly auctions occur on a combined Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with most lots closing at 8 p.m. Saturday night.

Extended Bidding: When a bid is placed in the last 3 minute(s) the auction will automatically extend those bids for an additional 3 minute(s) past the 8:00 gavel. If there are competing bids in the 3 minute soft close, the 3 minute soft close will keep extending for 3 minutes until all bids are satisfied and no additional bid has been placed within 3 minutes.

so here’s how it works:

The three day auction is continuous, beginning on a Thursday at 10 a.m., and concluding Saturday at 8 p.m.

With over 1,500 items to review at every auction, people enjoy the time to reflect, take measurements, alert other family members and friends and, in short, enjoy a relaxed bidding experience.

By 7 p.m. Saturday night it gets exciting, with people queuing up to place last minute bids on their favorite lot numbers.

And to everyone’s delight, there is no buyer’s premium!
